"NCT’s Taeil Leaves K-Pop Group Amid Sex Crime Allegations, Label Confirms"

 SM Entertainment, the K-pop agency representing NCT, Aespa, Riize, and more, has announced that a member of NCT has been removed from the group following allegations of sexual abuse. 

In a statement posted on X, SM Entertainment revealed that 30-year-old Taeil has been “accused in a criminal case related to a sexual crime.” A spokesperson told Variety, “Given the seriousness of the situation, we have determined that Taeil can no longer continue his team activities. After discussions with him, it has been decided that he will withdraw from the group.”

The agency further stated that Taeil is “fully cooperating” with the ongoing police investigation and issued an apology “for the controversy caused by our artist.”
